Sign-On Letter: Ask EPA to make its Fungicide Strategy Better for Wildlife and Habitat

Deadline: July 20, 2026 at 1:00pm PDT

Why this Matters

Please consider signing this letter submitting Public Comments on the EPA’s Draft Strategy to Protect Endangered Species from Fungicides, a document intended to guide regulators on how to mitigate impacts on ESA-listed wildlife and habitat from fungicides (fungus killing preventing chemicals). This Draft Strategy also introduces a framework for addressing wildlife harmed by pesticide-coated seeds in field conditions.

This is the third strategy being released for public comment by the EPA to guide their ESA/Pesticide work, being preceded by the Herbicide and Insecticide strategies.

The Draft Fungicide Strategy is a massive step in the right direction but remains under-protective of wildlife, and there are shortcomings which need to be addressed before the Strategy is finalized.

This sign-on letter will be open until July 20th at 1:00pm PST
