Have you ever wanted to unlock the mystery of painting with watercolor? This month Rachel will guide us through the simple and intuitive process of landscape watercolor, exploring value and depth, to create a painting of our beautiful coast range mountains.
Starting with white paper and working with diluted indigo and black paint, we will begin with the sky, and work through each layer of the mountains, color darkening as they get closer to us. We will finish with a painting of our beautiful coastal mountain range.

Rachel Martino
Rachel Martino is a forest dweller and illustrator. Her love of watercolor began at a young age. Her best work is done in nature – field painting and botanical illustrating are her favorite uses for watercolor illustration.
She was taught watercolor by her mother in the early 1980’s and continues to practice and share this intuitive skill with others.
