This week, the Emerald Curtain Collective hosted our monthly gathering at the South Beach Community Center, and it was a magical evening full of gratitude and prayerful imagining- artistically fused into beautifully hand dyed fabric flags. I’m pretty sure our hearts are all more full, and the world is a better place, for having gathered, shared, listened, learned, set intentions, sent prayers, and created meaningful art together!
The sheer amount of art supplies was mind-blowing. We had tables of lino-cut stamps, stencils, fabric markers and paint, as well as inspirational images, quotes, books, and even “tea bag tag mini-flags”. I’d also like to mention the magic in how many hands the reclaimed fabric passed through in order to become last night’s colorful canvases.
It was so inspiring to see everybody concentrated and dedicated to creating our beautiful communal flag, as well as their own gorgeous sets of flags. May these flags be an ongoing reminder to focus on what we wish to create in the world- every time they catch our eye.
Our gratitude is overflowing that everyone showed up as their awesome authentic selves, and put their hearts, souls, and true intentions into the evening. We are consistently in awe of the talent and passion of our community and of this growing Emerald Curtain family. ✨🪲💡🪲✨
